Chicago—With the new Personal RANGERÔ Pace-Of-Play system installed on all 5 of its public facilities under management in the St Louis area for the past several months, Walter’s Golf has seen a significant reduction in average pace combined with an increase in customer satisfaction at all facilities with the system. Owner and long time pace-of-play advocate, Dennis Walters says: “This is the best pace-of-play system on the market! Our average times are down 15-20 minutes and our golfers are happier.” He cited a heightened awareness on the part of his golfers to their expected location and their willingness to catch up when they notice they are behind the pace.

Steve Wyatt, Head Golf Professional at Cherry Hill Golf Club, a Walter’s Golf facility said, “The greatest result for our course has been a significantly improved golfing experience on the weekends. Our pace has improved at least 15 minutes. It has also helped our ladies leagues tremendously! People just don’t realize how slow they actually play. This tool is a great guide for them.”

Denny Walters, JR., Golf Professional at Missouri Bluffs said, “we have consistently had 200+ golfers on weekend days throughout the summer with a maximum round time of 4:30. That’s a significant improvement for us and I firmly believe that our pace is becoming a marketable feature of our course.”

Co-founder and head of Sales and Marketing Scott Grundberg said, “We are excited about the commitment to the program by Denny Walters and his facilities in the St Louis area. We are making inroads with several other management companies who recognize the value of a better pace-of-play and how it can positively impact their organizations, both financially and by an improved experience level. This is especially relevant in today’s competitive marketplace.”

The patented Personal Ranger is a small electronic device with a LCD screen that displays the golfer’s elapsed time and where they should be on the course at all times based on the courses’ pace of play goals. It is designed to be the cornerstone of an effective pace-of-play policy. On-Course Technologies is a privately held company established in 1995.
