Personal Ranger Sets the Pace for Billy Casper Golf August 1, 2000 Chicago—With the new Personal RANGERÔ
Pace-Of-Play system installed on three of its public facilities under
management in the New Jersey area for the past several months, Billy Casper
Golf Management has experienced consistently positive results including a
significant reduction in average pace combined with an increase in customer
satisfaction. Regional Manager, Michael Attara says: “This system really
works! Our results to date have been so positive we have decided to add
On-Course Technologies and the Personal Ranger to our Preferred Vendor
program. We anticipate adding the system to several more facilities in the
fourth quarter of 2000.” Scott Grundberg, co-founder and head of Sales and Marketing for On-Course Technologies said, “We are excited to be a part of the preferred vendor program at Billy Casper and look forward to bringing a better pace to all their facilities in the near future. We strongly believe that golfers will flock to courses that gain a reputation for a successful pace-of-play program where they can feel assured of a decent round time on a consistent basis. Our customers are confirming that the Personal Ranger is the catalyst for building that reputation.” The patented Personal Ranger is a small
electronic device with a LCD screen that continuously displays the
golfer’s elapsed time and where they should be on a course based on the
courses’ pace of play goals. It is designed to be the cornerstone of an
effective pace-of-play policy. On-Course Technologies is a privately held
company established in 1995. |
